R&B and Hip Hop artist Peakboy is back with a brand new mini-album. The rapper under Neuron Music, house of singers Paul Kim and Swan, debuted in 2017 and since then he hasn’t stopped creating music. We are thrilled to listen to this new project.

‘Hide & Seek’ start off this mini-album with powerful beats that demand your full attention with the richness of their sound. The flow of this track is killer and surprising, it goes in many directions but always returns, making it consistent but still surprising. The electric guitar and drums in the bridge gave me goosebumps. This song is a trip for listeners.
Starting off with lo-fi beats is ‘Hopeless’, this song will catch anyone’s attention as soon as it starts with its chill vibe. Peakboy’s singing is celestial, super sweet and it was such a nice addition to this already super cool and heart warming song.
Next we get the title track ‘Diet’ featuring MAMAMOO’s Whee In. With a very soft and adorable concept this song is fluffy, super lovable and cute from start to finish. The lyrics are super positive so make sure to turn on the subs when watching the music video. Whee In’s vocals as usual were incredible and this duet will go to the legendary list of collabs.
‘Youth’ plays next with a mix of beats, a really cool flow and an inclusion of jazzy instrumentals for the bridge that had me shook. This track’s mixing and layering is mindblowing, I loved how organic the inclusion of the piano and the trumpets were. Overall I felt that this song was created to make listeners feel nostalgic and remind them of part of their youth.
Closing this masterpiece of a release we have the last song ‘Loop’. This track leans more to the electronic side with the inclusion of acoustic guitar and Peakboy’s vocals. What a way to give us closure.
Overall, Peakboy’s ‘Loop’ is very rich in sound release. I loved how I could listen to different sides of him as an artist. This mini-album was diverse, super cool and had me surprised with every single track.
