The boys from ONEUS are back to bless us with their latest comeback ‘TRICKSTER’. Let’s dive right in!
TRICKSTER
We start off with the opening ‘Intro : Who Got The Joker?’. What an insane intro! The shout, the guitars, the drums. I am absolutely obsessed and I kind of wish they had made this a full track.
After that comes the title track ‘Bring it on’. Okay, this is straight up fire. The rapping goes hard. The post chorus is intense as hell and has a beautiful vocal opening. I dig this so much! 10/10!
Also, abs.
‘Skydivin’ is next and introduces us to pop rock. Leedo participated in the writing. This is such a fun, easy-listening track. We get some time to appreciate all the solid vocals. It kind of feels like summer track. I need a live video with a rock band (looking at you ONEWE) to perform at a beach.
Next up
After that we get ‘Firebomb’. Another straight up fire track. The horn synth sample they used is so dope and creates this party vibe. The rapping goes hard. I need to go clubbing to this.
‘Fragile’ starts with a soft opening and laidback vibes. The R&B track creates an easy-listening moment that gives you some room to breathe after all the hype. It’s smooth and the vocal line did SUCH an incredible job with this. I’m obsessed.
Next up is ‘Mr. Wolf’. The song was inspired by the children’s game. It’s very reminiscent to ‘Red Light, Green Light’ that was in ‘Squid Game’. ONEUS is going reggae with this one. It’s really fun, catchy and I can just imagine the responses the members would get during concerts. Love. This actually makes me sad they didn’t come to Kpop Flex.
The closing track is the English version of ‘Bring it on’.
‘TRICKSTER’ is another fab album by ONEUS. They don’t disappoint and keep finding new ways to surprise fans.
