2021 rookie group LIGHTSUM is back with their first mini-album ‘Into The Light‘, just last summer they surprised us with their debut summer bop ‘Vanilla‘, and we are looking forward to listen to what they have prepared for this release.

Into The Light
With a mix of genres and a very fun beat we get the title track ‘ALIVE‘. I really liked the concept the went for in with this single. It is super interesting, very dynamic and bold. A total party jam. This song just gets better with the music video and its youthful, cool and edgy aesthetics. The contrasts in this MV are fantastic, and the little effects and transitions, just awesome. Check it below.
House music takes over in ‘i‘ and this song is a total party anthem, the vocals and rapping are fantastic, and it just gets better with every single beat drop. The build-up for the bridge is smooth, and I really loved the vibe of this track.
‘GOOD NEWS‘ comes up next. and this time we get a R&B inspired track, and a very smooth flow with lovely harmonisations. The vocalisation in this song is amazing. The members are VOCAL POWER, and I really enjoyed how effortlessly good this single is.
Hip-Hop and EDM blend in ‘Q‘, and for this song we get an alternative arrangement and a hook that is just super catchy. The rap-line stands out in this song and absolutely kills it in the bridge.
Last is the pop single ‘Bye Bye Love‘ with a very dope pre-chorus and an amazing style. The arrangement of this song is super cool, bring and powerful. It was for sure a very interesting ending for this mini album and just had me waiting for the next track.
LIGHTSUM delivered with this EP ‘Into the light’. Every song was unique and had its own charm. This mini-album is definitely a non-skip. Make sure to check it out here.
