The girls from LE SSERAFIM are back with their latest EP ‘CRAZY’. We have high expectations, so let’s dive in!
CRAZY
We open up with ‘Chasing Lightning’. This is a techno fever dream and a total bop. I like the combination of the every day conversations and the heavy beat. It’s a vibe and a half.
After that comes the LE SSERAFIM title track ‘CRAZY‘. I AM OBSESSED! This song is for the girls. I said what I said. This is a House EDM blend with a catchy hook and a sick beat. I’m throughly enjoying the vocals and the playful moments.
The visuals are SO well done.
‘Pierrot’ is a hip-hop based track and samples ‘Pierrot laughs at us‘ by Kim Wan Sun. I enjoyed reading this part of the album description: “The lyrics that express respect and support for senior artists such as Kim Wan-sun, Uhm Jung-hwa, Lee Hyo-ri, and IU are impressive. It delivers a message to those living in the same era to go crazy together instead of worrying about repetitive daily life, the distant future, and things that will never happen.”
After that comes ‘1-800-hot-n-fun’. I’m totally digging this track with its dirty guitar riff and hip-hop beats. The lyrics are fun and playful while still being powerful which is such a LE SSERAFIM combo I’m not even surprised.
The closing track ‘Crazier’. We’re going ballad for this one, with stunning vocal work and great vocal stacking.
Overall ‘CRAZY’ by LE SSERAFIM is crazy good and shows how diverse their sound is while still catching the essence of LE SSERAFIM. Well done!
