WINNER’s leader and vocalist Kang Seung Yoon (YOON/YOONY) is making his solo debut with the full length album ‘PAGE‘ , all of the song are written, co-composed and co-arranged by YOONY.

‘IYAH‘ begins this release and YOONY goes off with a touching and emotional song that feels more like a letter to himself. As part of the Inner-circle, this song hits different, the vocals, instrumentation and feelings in it are raw and real. The choir and his stunning vocals are just incredible.
The music video for this single is as emotional as the song, we see YOON with his guitar, looking at pictures of WINNER, and even footage of his time pre-WINNER. This is pure wholesome content that will make more than one tear-up. Watch it below.
‘WE NEED LOVE‘ is next on a lighter note, the pop-rock vibe of this track is light-hearted and super cool, it fits YOON’s vocals and style to perfection.
Acoustic piano takes over in the ballad ‘BRUISE‘, and the only thing I have to say is that this song is warm, like a tight hug when needed, sad but hopeful at the same time.
Featuring Wonstein, ‘SKIP‘ is next and I loved how rhythmic and fun this track is. The “1,2,3,4,5” was unexpected but oddly catchy, and I really liked Wonstein’s verses mixed with YOON’s singing.
Guitar riffs take over in ‘OBVIOUS‘, this song features none other than Simon Dominic. The composition and vibe in this track just get better and better as it plays. Simon D.’s rapping kills it as usual, and Seung Yoon kills it with his high notes.
Featuring MINO, ‘BETTER‘ plays and YOON’s rapping at the beginning had me shocked, completely unexpected but amazing. The synergy between YOON and MINO is incredible, they truly complement each other to perfection.
‘CAPTAIN‘ feels a lot like a song WINNER would do, and I just loved how authentic it is. The marching band in some parts of the song is kind of incredible, and I loved how this song basically feels like an acoustic track, clean and flawless.
This release takes a very soft turn with ‘WERE WE?‘, the backing vocals are breathtaking and joined with YOONY’s singing, it becomes a full listening experience.
With a more electronic based track ‘365‘ plays. The guitar and build up of this track are QUALITY from every single angle. It shows a new side of Seung Yoon and it was a kinda unexpected surprise but I dig the vibe.
‘TREAD ON ME‘ is next and I really want to listen to this track live, the instrumentation is insane and YOON’s vocals following the build-up and dropping with the high notes, goosebumps!
With a very much unexpected musical composition ‘HEY RAIN‘ is next. I did not expect the rain falling to be part of the layering of this track. It is very subtle but it makes it very unique. This song has a very cheerful feel to it, and I loved its acoustic end.
Last on this release is the second version of the title track featuring Yoon Jong Shin, this version is basically two top vocalists combined, insanely good.
Final thoughts
YOONY delivered and incredibly well done and diverse album. This release was overwhelmingly stunning and had me surprised with every single song.
