Starship Entertainment soloist Jeong Sewoon just dropped his extended play ‘24 PART 2’, and we have been looking forward to this one. This EP follows ‘24 PART 1’ released in 2020, and we are in love with his voice, so, let’s dig in!
24 PART 2
‘:m (Mind)’ starts off this EP with wonderful melodies and a playful flow that I absolutely loved. Sewoon’s vocal tone for this song has a husky and teasing vibe that goes fantastically with this song’s overall vibe. A fantastic opening.
Next we get the title track ‘In The Dark’, this song mixes a guitar riff with an electronic track and creates a chill and very distinctive sound that I thoroughly enjoyed. The lyrics of this song are full of hope and support, so I would highly recommend fans to watch the video with the captions on. Without a doubt, this is a fantastic and very solid title track.
We get groovy with ‘Fine’, the electric guitar in this song was an amazing addition and gave it an extra cool vibe, the airy feel in the vocals for the chorus are just super chill and pleasant to listen to.
Next up
Piano acoustics start ‘DoDoDo’ and I am in love with this song, it is the perfect mix between lo-fi, instrumentals and sweet vocals. It made me feel as if I was inside a movie, walking in the city at night while it’s raining. It is warm, cosy and extra chill.
On the pop side we get ‘Find you’ with a more upbeat tempo but an indie-ish vibe in it, it is a very enjoyable track and a very easy listen.
Last on this EP we get ‘Be a fool’, a stunningly composed track loaded with beautiful instrumentation and breathtaking vocals, beautiful from start to finish and a fantastic closure for this EP.
