ITZY came back with the new mini album ‘GUESS WHO‘. Since their debut in 2019, ITZY impressed fans with their unique sound and diverse concepts. Let’s see what new surprises this girl group under JYP Entertainment has prepared for this comeback.

‘In the morning‘ begins this release and it is also the title track for the mini-album. I was impressed by the rapping in this song and the overall concept in it. It was super fresh and new to ITZY’s discography and they absolutely killed it.
Big shoutout to the production and styling team, the music video is probably one of my favourite ones by ITZY. The style, choreography and sets were super cool and made all the members stand out. Watch it below.
‘Sorry Not Sorry‘ comes next and has a very interesting melodic mix that stands out a lot, it incorporates a guitar riff with electronic beats. I really enjoyed the different changes to the pace in this song and the bridge is just fantastic.
We go into familiar territory with ‘KIDDING ME‘, this EDM track brings back the ITZY style we have seen in previous releases and we love.
A Spanish guitar melody welcomes listeners in ‘Wild Wild West‘, this track had me jamming to it, with its super fun, playful and cool musical arrangement.
‘SHOOT‘ plays next and this song is a full vibe on its own, the beats drop, synth and even the little piano instrumentation are just so good. This song is a strong contestant to become my favourite ITZY’s b-side, it definitely has a uniqueness and freshness that makes it stand out.
We come to the end of this release with the pop song ‘TENNIS (0:0)‘, the members’ vocals really stand out in this song and it is fantastic to listen to. The instrumentation is very minimalistic and almost lo-fi and that made it even more enjoyable.
Final thoughts
