[Review] GIFT – You Are To Me

The band GIFT is back with their new mini-album ‘You Are To Me’. In the album description they wrote that they wanted to present this to the people around them as a big thank you for their support.

You Are To Me

We start off with the title track ‘You Are To Me’. This sounds like such a sweet track. I am in love with the vocal layering they did. It tickles all the right parts of my brain. It could have been a little bit longer, but that’s just because I liked it so much.

‘Shines the light’ follows that with the softest guitar intro. I like the twinkling sounds they added in the backing track. It gives it an ethereal feel that is enhanced by the guitar. I’m in love with this single. It sounds immensely comforting.

After that we get ‘Travel Song’ which gives us some of the happy vibes we needed. The dreamy sounds in combination with the bass, is fabulous and I’m here for it. That little outro had me in my feels a bit.

‘Maybe it’s a good dream’ is the last track on the mini-album. This folk ballad is such a beautiful display of GIFT’s skills. The cello was performed by Park Chanyoung. The piano was performed by Park Hyun-seo. They had pre-released this single a couple of weeks ago.

This mini-album ‘You Are To Me’ by GIFT was adorable and super wholesome. I loved it.
