The girls from fromis_9: Song Ha-young, Park Ji-won, Lee Chae-young, Lee Na-gyung, and Baek Ji-heon are back with their new EP ‘From our 20’s’. Let’s take a closer look!

From our 20’s

‘Like You Better’ opens up this album with pure summer pop! The title track boasts great vocals, a fun and playful beat and a lot of energy. This was super refreshing to listen to and is a total vibe.

Next up is ‘REBELUTIONAL’. According to the album description: “It depicts a self that does not compromise even in the cold reality, and the boldness to stand up again.” This is a pop rock track with an impressive chorus and really solid vocal layering.

‘Love=disaster’ is a punk rock track with a pop twist. I really dig the guitars in this and high vocals with the bit of vocal fry effect. It’s a really fun listen. This was a fresh sound for them.

After that comes ‘Strawberry Mimosa’. Jiwon participated in writing the lyrics and composing the track. It’s “a song that sensually expresses the sweet and dazzling moments of love on a summer day by comparing it to a cocktail called ‘Strawberry Mimosa’.” This chorus is going to be stuck in my mind all day.

‘Twisted Love’ was co-written and co-composed by Hayoung. This one expresses the paradox that is love. The guitars are really cool in this one and honestly, the vocals are beyond impressive.

The EP closes off with ‘Merry Go Round’. This track conveys the sincere feelings for the fandom from the members. It’s a sweet pop track with a lot of melancholy and a pretty melody.
