EXO is back with the special album ‘DON’T FIGHT THE FEELING’. This comeback has the members Baekhyun, D.O., Kai, Sehun, Chanyeol, Xiumin and Lay. Let’s dive right in!
DON’T FIGHT THE FEELING
We start off with the title track ‘Don’t fight the feeling’. D.O.’s opening gave me chills. The track is groovy and fun and gives us some excellent vocals. Kai reviving Xiumin in the MV had me cackling. Sehun had some very melodic rap which I loved!
‘Paradise’ follows that. This song is sexy. It’s a summer bop guaranteed. Chanyeol’s deep rap verse fits this so well, it makes for a very dynamic track. The chanting and vocal belts in the outro are super nice.
Next up is ‘No Matter’. We’re staying with the groovy bops. This mid-tempo pop song has such a funky instrumentation and we get some great vocal riffs. This track is super lovely. Lay’s verse gave me life.
‘Runaway’ is an R&B track with harmonies that had me do a double-take. It’s a fantastic track that needs a live version. The almost acapella feeling during the pre-chorus gave me actual chills. This is a 10/10. My favorite song of the album, no doubt about it.
The last song on the mini is ‘Just as usual’. It gives us warm acoustic pop with that lovely acoustic guitar. There’s even more harmonies, my heart is too weak for this. The song was written by R&B singer THAMA.
