The boys from CRAVITY are back with their second full-length album ‘Dare to Crave’. Let’s take a closer look!
Dare to Crave
‘On my way’ opens this album with “a passionate determination to overcome limits and pursue one’s own path, and a journey to find ‘one’s own answer’.” I love the momentum and the melody of the track. It’s a perfect opener!
Next up is ‘Swish’. We’re going for a hip-hop and rock blend. I enjoyed the chorus. The hook is super catchy and honestly a total vibe. The rap verses have a great flow to them and the vocals were fantastic.
The title track ‘SET NET G0?!’ This is another banger on the album. I absolutely loved the pre-chorus and the vocals on the verses were great. This is a pop dance track with a great bass and a bit of funk to it.
‘Rendez-vous’ starts with a whistle and guitars. Member Woobin co-wrote and co-composed this track. The song is all about breaking through the boredom and monotony.
‘Paranoia’ is a “dance track that expresses inner anxiety and confusion.” It’s a cool track and leaves an impact. The synths were absolutely popping off in the backing track.
We’re getting the first sub-unit with Jungmo, Woobin and Sungmin. This is a synth pop track that honestly sounds super soft and dreamy. Jungmo and Sungmin even co-wrote the lyrics.
Next up is ‘Stadium’ by Alan, Wonjin and Hyungjun. We’re going for funk with a heavy bass and a powerful melody. This one is a lot of fun!
Serim, Minhee and Taeyoung are the sub-unit for ‘Marionette’. This is Serim’s first composed track and it’s a sexy moody pop track. It’s a beautiful track with a really lovely layering.
‘Underdog’ is a track that was produced by Monsta X member Joohoney. It’s a powerful rock track where the underdog breaks through all the pain.
‘Click, Flash, Pow’ brings us some R&B and neo-soul and it’s super lovely. It’s really groovy and a total vibe. Honestly I need to play this full volume in my bedroom.
After that comes ‘Love Me Again’. It’s a dance pop track with a groovy rhythm and dreamy synths. It “contains the regret of not being able to properly love the ‘me’ of the past when I had many dreams, and the earnest emotion of wanting to embrace the ‘me’ from back then again, containing the feelings of present where I have finally learned to love myself.”
We close off the album with ‘Wish Upon a Star’. This is a dreamy pop ballad that bursts with emotion and feeling.
