[Review] ATEEZ – GOLDEN HOUR : Part.2

The boys from ATEEZ are back to work with the release of their EP ‘GOLDEN HOUR : Part.2’. This album captures the way ATEEZ loves. Let’s check it out!

GOLDEN HOUR : Part.2

We open up with ‘DEEP DIVE’. This hip-hop track has a cool bounce to it with the excellent use of synth samples. The rap verses are incredibly well done and flow easily and impressively. The autotune is well implemented and doesn’t feel overwhelming. It’s a cool listen. Check out the English translation here.

Next up is ‘Scene 1 : Value’. This is the intro to the title track. It’s only a minute long and leaves an impact despite its short runtime.

After that comes the title track ‘Ice On My Teeth’. I’m obsessed with the blend of the classical violin and the trap beat. It’s a sick combo and is super impressive. The lyrics are all about that swagger, that feels very much like ATEEZ’ signature. It’s fun, playful and dramatic. Is there anything funnier than “I bought diamonds at my dentist” to start a track with?

‘Man on Fire’ is a cool dark track with a sick beat and an even sicker outro. The distorted vocal with the higher synth was a lot of fun.

Selfish Waltz’ is groovy as hell. This toxic relationship sounds amazing with the incredible synths in the post-chorus. What an unbelievable vibe! The vocals in the outro are stunning. The retro seventies moment is an incredible listen.

The closing track is ‘Enough’. What an uplifting track with lyrics like “Wherever we go, we’ll be together. A new world in sight. Don’t ever lose yourself, that’s enough for you (Don’t look back, be there).”
