[Review] 2AM – Ballad 21 F/W

After a break of seven years, the ballad group 2AM is finally back with a new EP and the well-known vocals and soulful singing we missed. ‘Ballad 21 F/W‘ includes five new tracks and a double title track crafted by the original producers of this group.

Let’s dive straight into our feelings with the music in this release.

Ballad 21 F/W

Should’ve known‘ is the first title track in this EP. This song kicks off with a beautiful acoustic guitar and piano accompaniment that evolves into a stunning instrumentation complementing the soulful singing. The members’ lyrical delivery really went off with the feelings of this track, they expressed its emotional load flawlessly.

The music video follows the journey of a couple, their memories and the best moments they spend together before parting ways from the girlfriend’s point of view. Watch it below.

Next is the second title track, ‘No good in good-bye‘, this song really feel like the follow-up story of the first title track. However, for this one there is a more hopeful feeling. Its instrumentation, as the previous one is wonderful but this time we listen to violin orchestrations taking over this track and leaving listeners in awe.

For the music video, we continue with the same couple, but this time in an emotional reunion and the reminiscence of the love story but from the boyfriend’s point of view this time. Check it below.

I can’t‘ comes up next, and this song gave me some serious early 2000s ballad vibes I loved. As expected we listen to a flawless delivery and wonderful instrumentation made to spoil listeners.

Starting off with some serious rock-ballad vibes, ‘Always Me‘ plays nexts. I fell in love with the sound and feel of this track. It is super good and a fantastic listen.

The last single in this comeback EP is ‘Propose‘, closing this wonderful release with insanely good singing, incredible high notes and a powerful emotional delivery. A flawless end.

The wait was worth it, 2AM came back with the full power of their vocals and a breathtaking sound. Make sure to listen to this release here.
