[R&B Gem] Oceanfromtheblue

We’re back with a new R&B Gem, this time we’re putting the focus on Oceanfromtheblue. He’s been a staple on the Korean R&B scene for a couple of years. He writes and composes his own tracks and is able to create wonderful, heartfelt tracks.

Debut

Oceanfromtheblue began his career on Soundcloud but officially debuted with Nostalgia Music in 2018 with the EP ‘Luv Fi’.

In 2019 he came out with the single ‘I am’.

Oceanfromtheblue also released the Christmas single ‘Too early Christmas’.

The same year, he also released the collaborative EP with slchld ‘aeries?’.

2020 was a super busy time for him. He released the EPs ‘Khaki’, ‘take off’ and ‘Luv-fi (2020)’. There’s also the extended version of his EP ‘Khaki’ and the single albums ‘90s kids never grow old’.

His EP ‘Take Off’ is still one of my favorites. It’s great, has a good narrative and this EP was kind of like a turning point, where he decided to leave the sadder music behind and focus more and growth.

The track from the ‘90s kids never grow old’ series is such a vibe.

‘Sherlock’ is such a magnificent R&B track that has a great flow and fab vocals.

Last year, in 2021, Oceanfromtheblue came out with 2 EPs and a couple of singles.

The EP ‘Messages’ is such a wonderful release. It has fantastic features like MRSHLL and Samuel Seo and some hella cool tracks.

The second EP ‘Forward’ had a really fun title track featuring SOLE.

His most recent comeback was the single album ‘Unusual’.

I have very high expectations for anything Oceanfromtheblue releases. He keeps on coming out with great R&B while staying true to his sound and vibe.

Go ahead and follow him on Instagram here and check him out on Spotify here.
