In this edition of Rapper In The Spotlight, we’re diving into the career of Eunsan, an indie rapper who’s been turning heads with his bold musical style and genre-bending releases since 2022.
Early Career & Background
Cho Eun-san, better known as Eunsan, officially debuted in 2022 under D-Town. Prior to his debut, Eunsan was already known in Korea’s underground hip-hop scene, thanks to his mixtapes and live performances. He also gained early attention by appearing on High School Rapper 2 and Show Me The Money 6, where he showcased his raw talent and energetic stage presence.
Eunsan’s official debut came with the single album ‘VERY FIRST’, featuring the tracks ‘HOMERUN’ and ‘As Like Always’. With gritty rock-inspired instrumentals and a confident flow, this release marked a strong entrance into the scene.
He quickly followed up with his EP ‘5:48 STRUGGLE’, which includes collaborations with Posadic and DANI OWL. This release showed a more experimental side, blending electronic beats and switching up his tone and tempo from track to track.
Later that year, he dropped the collaborative single ‘Perfume’ with LauRel and Saula, rounding out an impressive debut year.
2023: A Year of Growth
In 2023, Eunsan continued to expand his discography with the single album ‘ABOUT’ and his first full-length album ‘No Matter What’, which revealed a more introspective, melodic style while retaining his hip-hop edge.
He closed the year with the EP ‘Much Love’, again teaming up with LauRel and Saula, highlighting his ongoing collaboration and growth as an artist.
