Lee Jin-yong, better known as Loopy, burst onto the scene in 2016 under UNCUTPOINT with the release of his debut single ‘Goyard,’ quickly followed by ‘Rrrr.’ From the outset, Loopy’s rap style boasted sharp flows and precise delivery, garnering attention in the underground scene.
Building on his early success, Loopy dropped his first EP, ‘ICE Tape A,’ in 2017, setting the stage for his debut album, ‘ICE,’ which soared into the top 50 album charts in South Korea.
Between 2017 and 2018, Loopy’s popularity surged as he released a string of singles and EPs, including standout tracks like ‘Molla‘ and ‘Rough World,’ as well as the mixtape ‘King Loopy‘ and the EP ‘Questions.’

In 2018, Loopy showcased his talent on the special edition of Show Me The Money, earning the runner-up title and captivating audiences with electrifying performances.
Undeterred by the competition’s outcome, Loopy continued to make waves in 2019 with singles like ‘No Fear‘ and ‘Do Not Understand.’ He also collaborated with Nafla on the album ‘LooFla,’ delivering hits like ‘sense‘ and ‘FLEX.’
First studio album
In 2020, Loopy unveiled his debut studio album, ‘NO FEAR (DELUXE),’ featuring a star-studded lineup of collaborators such as Paloalto, Changmo, pH-1, and more, solidifying his position as a force to be reckoned with in the R&B and hip-hop scene.
In 2022, Loopy made a bold move to AI0213, dropping the EP ‘The Django Tape‘ and the single ‘DJANGO‘ to critical acclaim.
Latest releases
Now, under the label UNWANTED WRLD, Loopy continues to push boundaries with releases like ‘NEW TIME,’ ‘ANOTHER LESSON,’ and ‘REASONS,’ culminating in his latest album, ‘MARNI,’ a testament to his evolution as an artist.
