[Offstage] Rehugme Design Lab

If you’ve ever wondered who designs stuff like the lightsticks and fans, then you’re in luck because our next Offstage feature is all about the design company Rehugme Design Lab.

Design Lab

Rehugme is a design company that’s been responsible for a ton of merchandise in the Korean entertainment world. The earliest design I could find is the one for actor Kim Soo Hyun (from ‘It’s okay to not be okay’) in 2014.

They’ve designed everything from albums to pet scarves (yes, you read that right. It’s apparently a thing). Who said pets can’t be fans?

Their Instagram is such an aesthetic, I can’t get enough of scrolling through it and recognizing (the very few) items I own.

Some of the companies they’ve worked with include; Neuron music, Dreamcatcher Company, Loen Entertainment, Maroo, Melon, Starship Entertainment, SM Entertainment, CJ ENM. They’ve definitely made a big impact on fans’ lives without them even knowing. That’s why their slogan is extra cute: “We make GOODS from fan’s heart.”

Rehugme made the official 2018 lightstick for The Boyz.

Dreamcatcher

Rehugme Design Lab has worked together closely with the girl group Dreamcatcher. They’ve created the last couple of their albums. I’ve been utterly obsessed with those, I even bought one.

Here’s our unboxing we filmed for the ‘Dystopia: The Tree of Language’ album by Dreamcatcher.

Goodies

Here’s a quick collection of some of my favorite items that they worked on.

I think you get the gist of it at this point. Rehugme Design Lab has had a huge impact on fans’ lives without people really noticing. That’s why I thought it’d be fun to create this feature so that the word could get out. They’ve created some awesome stuff and deserve to be recognized for it.

Go ahead and check out their website here.
