Offstage is a brand new series that we’re featuring on M.E.A.L. so we can share some of the people who are working really hard behind the scenes to get you your daily dose of Korean Entertainment.
We could write about anything from record labels, producers to video producers and choreographers. Anyone who’s involved in the process of creating the final product of a new release for a singer is the focus of this series.
Paranoid Paradigm
For the first one, I wanted to start off strong with the video producer Paranoid Paradigm (aka Beomjin). If the name doesn’t ring a bell yet, keep on reading because I’m pretty sure that you’ve come in contact with his work one way or another.
For example, do you know the music video for IU’s ‘BBIBBI’? You guessed it, Paranoid Paradigm produced that video.
Low Laundry Media House also known as VM Project Architecture is a MV production house that started off in the indie scene but eventually started to make a name of itself after delivering quality content.
Beomjin is the director of LLMH and has made so many iconic music videos, it’s extremely hard to pick my favorite.

Pop
Remember this song, this iconic, iconic song that blew up and had everyone from grannies to toddlers singing along?
It’s very hard to put a name to the style of Beomjin because frankly it’s all over the place. That’s where the talent lies though. It’s impossible to put him in a box because of the versatility.
He seems to work a lot with SM Entertainment groups, like NCT 127 and NCT U, EXO, TAEMIN and Red Velvet.
Yes, he did direct the video for ‘Zimzalabim’, which quite frankly is iconic.
R&B/Hip-hop
However, he also seems to be a favorite amongst R&B and hip-hop artists. He’s worked with Sik-K, KATIE, Penomeco, ZICO and MOBB.
There are so many more (like SEVENTEEN, MONSTA X, Hyuna, BLACKPINK, SF9) and it’s frustratingly hard to get more information about Paranoid Paradigm so I’ll leave it at this. Though I want to share three more videos, because they’re amazing and I can’t believe all of this was directed by the same person.
