Today’s music video recommendation is one of my favorite releases of 2019. This song, besides being powerful, also has one of the best productions I have seen for a music video.
BewhY’s ‘GOTTASADAE’ is a song that talks about everyone’s expectations of him and also what he thinks of himself as an artist. It is a powerful hip-hop track that shows the incredible rapper he is.
The music can have many interpretations. There are a lot of theories floating around online, but I’ll give you my perception and interpretation of this music video.
This video sets the scene with BewhY as the master of many individuals, which I believe are the different sides of himself. He has them under control and throughout the music video you can appreciate how he guides their movements with his lyrics.
Their dancing was stunning and also a bit frightening. Their movements were almost violent and graceful at the same time. It totally complemented BewhY’s delivery of the song.
The cinematography is mainly in dark colors, intended to be intimidating and it makes you feel like that. At the same time though, you’ll be astonished with every single shot.
