This time for our MV Rec we are having a little throwback for a musical gem from one one of my favourite soloists. Let’s talk about SURAN’s single ‘1+1=0’ featuring DEAN.
Released in 2017, ‘1+1=0’ is still as relatable as it was back then. SURAN and DEAN teamed up for a single that expressed the thoughts of many people trying to make it through adulthood. What makes the single so special besides their fantastic lyrics is the comedic aspect of the music video.
This MV shows the story of a young worker who is basically done with her day to day routine (and who isn’t in today’s world). Throughout the music video the changes of her facial expressions are mixed with bright colours and a very interesting office setting, making this music video make it super fun to watch.
I particularly loved the animation part and how it showed her colourful dreams and also bright personality. This music video has everything and the song is a total bop. Make sure to watch it below.
