For this week’s Music Video Recommendation I wanted to take you on a trip with the video for ‘Where Shall I Go?’ by Cho Hyung Woo. We featured this when it just came out, in our Weekly K-Indie Report here.
When I watched this music video for the first time I was so surprised. There’s footage of the city I’m living in right now. In the video Cho takes us to Paris and to Dublin. That’s where The K M.E.A.L. is based. I always think it’s hilarious to see the city I live in be romanticized. Usually it’s in film but now it’s in a music video as well.
Since the pandemic started I haven’t left this city so it’s a bit hard to be able to romanticize it when all I can think of is that I want to leave and see the rest of the world for a change. This puts it a bit more in perspective though. You get to see what others see when they come to Dublin.
