MV Rec: blurrychords – You harden like stone

We’re back with a new MV Rec and this time we’re going the indie route with ‘You harden like stone’ by Blurrychords.

This music video that came out earlier this year, had me totally shook. Blurrychords is an electronic indie artist and recently released one of my favorite songs ‘Only Man’ that I put in my Weekly K-Indie Report. It lead me to a bit of an adventure through Blurrychords’ discography.

‘You harden like stone’ is an instrumental track but through the use of poetry in the music video itself, you don’t really miss vocals. The sound itself is enough to keep you entertained.

In the music video we see a person completely drenched in paint, holding two busts while being trapped in string. The paint is very textured and rough and holds an array of blues and greys. Texturally it looks very cool and kind of fits the vibe of the song as well.

It’s not until almost the end that we get to see a second person. Though where the first person was struggling to keep upright, the second person is a watcher. The way he sits reminds me of Rodin’s ‘Thinker’. The eyes at the end are most striking.

Definitely go check out the music video for ‘You harden like stone’ by Blurrychords.

You can find Blurrychords on Spotify here, however this song sadly isn’t on it.
