The month of March is over so that means we’re back with our list of our favorite Korean Indie DisKoveries. Let’s take a closer look!
Week 1
Hanonn is back with his new single ‘Your Eyes’ featuring Im Subeen. I am in love with the ebb and flow of this track.
The single ‘Waterloo’ by Kang gives me such roadtrip vibes. It’s the type of song you blast through your car while on a long drive. I love the vocal timbre and the guitar shredding in the back.
If you’re looking for a soulful ballad that has a melancholic color, look no further than ‘A Nomad Seeking Entry’ by On_poem. It’s absolutely lovely and will leave you yearning for a different life. When the guitar solo starts, you know this is going to your favorite playlists forever.
Week 2
Wyne came out with ‘dear tomorrow’. This is a lot lighter in comparison to the track by on_poem but no less emotional.
IMSEMO released the EP ‘take care’. The title track ‘I’m not a hero’ is lovely and the kazoo moment is adorable.
KDH came out with ‘Monster’. The way this is so beautifully layered and the way it creates this ethereal listening experience is next level.
Week 3
87dance released their new EP ‘soldout smile’ and it is awesome. I just can’t get enough of it.
Miru Song dropped ‘Eyes on Eyes’. I love everything about this. It’s so great.
Kangziwon released her song ‘Have you ever’. If you need a good cry, definitely listen to this. It feels so tiny that it will evoke so much emotion.
Week 4
Jeon Jin Hee released the single ‘dear’.
Piano JEJE came out with the lovely instrumental ‘Picnic’. The entire album is delightful.
Kang e-rae released ‘it’s alright’. This is fab indie pop with a dash of folk thrown in. That twangy guitar is pretty cool.
That’s it for this list of March Korean Indie DisKovery. I hope you discovered some new gems to cherish. You can find the full list of K-Indie releases from our Weekly Reports on Spotify here.March Korean Indie DisKovery
