In this edition of Label Deep Dive, we’re shining the spotlight on one of the most exciting indie labels in Korea’s music scene—131 Label. Known for its raw creativity, unique artistry, and impressive growth, this label has been steadily carving out its own lane since day one.
From Vision to Reality: The Rise of 131 Label
Founded by Kim Han Bin (aka B.I.) in 2018, 131 Label didn’t officially begin operations until 2021, when it was registered as a subsidiary of IOK M. However, their independent spirit couldn’t be contained—by 2022, 131 had stepped out as a fully independent agency, ready to lead with its own vision.
The label’s journey began with B.I. himself launching his solo career with the emotional and impactful single ‘Midnight Blue (Love Streaming)’ in 2021, which marked a fresh start not just for him, but for the label too.
Meet the White Noise Club
131 Label quickly began expanding its artist and producer roster. In 2021, Kim Chang Hoon joined as the first signed producer. He was followed by Padi, Millennium, and Sihwang in 2022. Together, this powerhouse team formed the White Noise Club, a creative collective focused on producing boundary-pushing music and visual content—especially within K-pop and R&B.
