K-Drama Bromances That Should Not Be Forgotten

We love K-dramas because they bring incredible stories to our lives, unbelievable productions that blow our minds, and some tears and love.

Many of them have given us the biggest bromances (a close friendship between two or more men) of K-drama history and we have loved and laughed with these stories and sometimes in the more quiet scenes we might have also shed a tear or two (or a lot more, no way to tell really).

We have listed our favourite bromances, so be ready to laugh, get sentimental and also love these friendships.

Number1: Grim Reaper and Goblin – Goblin

The Grim Reaper and the Goblin’s bromance in the drama ‘Goblin’ is probably one of the funniest and adorable ones I have watched. This duo is so wholesome and they definitely have each other’s backs even though they had a messy past. Gong Yoo and Lee Dong-wook have incredible chemistry on camera and I’m a fan of the fact that they are friends in real life.

Number 2: All the guys from Hwarang – Hwarang

The ‘Hwarang’ friendships are adorable and also legendary. These guys live, fight, learn and even get punished together. That is what I call the start of an amazing bromance. They all have interesting stories and all the actors together have an amazing chemistry and a lot of cutesy moments that will warm your heart. Check out the trailer below.

Number 3: Ri Jeong-hyeok and the members of his unit – Crash Landing on you

Crash Landing On You’ exceeded all expectations and became one of the most viewed dramas of the year. Besides the incredible plot, the aspect I loved the most was the relationships in it.

One of my favourites is Ri Jeong-hyeok’s friendship with his military team. Their relationship goes beyond their duty and they truly care and love each other despite the circumstances they are in. This group was wholesome to watch and this was one of the most pure and cute bromances I have seen in dramas. Check out the trailer below.

Number 4: The leads – Gentleman’s Dignity

‘Gentleman’s Dignity’ is the reason why I started to watch dramas. Kim Do-jin, Im Tae-san, Choi Yoon and Lee Jung-rok are the protagonists and their brotherhood, relationship and love surpasses everything. There is a lot of support and they are just a big family that have each other’s back.

This quartet had a lot of memorable, hilarious and also heartbreaking moments and will remain forever as one of my favourite bromances in K-drama history. If you are looking for a classic don’t look any further and check out the trailer below.

Number 5: Captain Yoo Si-jin and Master Sergeant Seo Dae-young –  Descendants of the Sun

Yoo Si-jin and Seo Dae-young was a hilarious bromance with a lot of kick ass energy. This duo was not just incredible at their job but they were also remarkable humans who helped those in need and had an incredible chemistry on camera.

Number 6: The four buddies – Save Me

‘Save Me’ might not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think of the term bromance, but the four best buddies had an incredible friendship. Taecyoun, Woo Do-Hwan, David Lee and Ha Hoe-Jung were so in sync with each other that it felt like they’d been friends for years. In the K-drama they are, but I’m not so sure about real life.

This drama is dark (like religious cult dark), but the friends’ dynamic breathes some air into it. That’s not to say the friendships don’t have their ups and downs but, in the end, they’re there for each other when they have to.

Number 7: Gang-doo and Sang-Man – Just Between Lovers

I thought this was such an adorable friendship. It’s not every day that you see a character with a mental illness get such a gentle supporting role. Sang-Man receives nothing but the kindest words from Gang-Doo and he really looks out for him.

This was such a dynamic, kind and interesting friendship that totally deserves to be on this list. ‘Just Between Lovers’ is great for many reasons, and this friendship is one of them. Just a quick warning, if you start watching ‘Just Between Lovers’ get your tissues out, because I cried like a baby.
