IU shines in new single ‘Celebrity’

IU is back with the pre-release single ‘Celebrity’ ahead of her new album that’s coming out. ‘Celebrity’ encaptures the feelings of not fitting in and not realizing how exactly that makes you unique.

In the album description IU wrote that one of her friends was feeling down because of their rather unique features. He’d been treated differently and he wasn’t happy about it. IU started writing the lyrics as a way to lift him back up, to regain his confidence. As she was writing it, she realized that, this was a message that more people might need.

Go check out the music video for ‘Celebrity’ because IU looks absolutely stunning. There are captions, so I do suggest you turn them on. I, myself particularly like the lyric ‘you’re a star painted with a left hand’.

The single isn’t on Spotify yet, but here’s her Artist Profile so keep an eye out.
