[Indie Pick] KREAM

We’re back with a new Indie Pick and this time I really wanted to feature the wonderful R&B singer KREAM. This guy has some amazing vocals and his lyrics are heartfelt and feel very poetic.

The first song that put KREAM on my radar was the song ‘Talking To The Moon’ that was on his EP with the same name in 2016. I still listen to it now, it’s the kind of song you never get sick of. It’s 100% timeless.

His official debut was with the single ‘DALLA’ that came out in 2014. For some reason this single isn’t on his main Spotify page, but a separate one. You can click here to find that.

Before his debut though, he was featured on ‘Adore You’ by Kimparkchella. He was also part of the composition.

In 2017, he released the single ‘Photograph’ and if you need a good cry, try listening to this.

The single ‘You can take my youth away but you can never take my dream’ is heartbreaking and somehow feels resilient at the same time.

Writing credits

While researching I discovered that he was part of the writing of Ailee’s ‘Room Shaker’ which is kind of crazy.

He also co-wrote for Bull$EyE and Jongmin Moon.

As a way to close this Indie Pick feature about KREAM, I want to leave you with the translation of his single ‘Talking To The Moon’.

I know you’re somewhere far away
The night when the blue star
lights me up in the room.
lean on the window
Wait for the clouds to wobble in the wind
When the full moon gets an eclipse
in my submerged pupil
