The boys from BTS are back with their new English single ‘Butter’. We’ve been (im)patiently waiting for this release. It feels ages ago that they had us watching a YouTube live for the announcement itself.
‘Butter’ is a total GROOVE. We get some funk with a groovy bass and fabulous vocals. This feels like ‘Dynamite’ but groovier, more mature. It’s awesome.
I’m absolutely in love with the rap line’s parts. It brought a nice pace change and added that extra pizzazz. I think it’s interesting that they went for a rather minimalist texture for the ‘smooth like butter’ part.
I really hope they drop another music video version, because I need to see more of the outfits of when they spell out ‘ARMY’ with their bodies.
