August Korean Indie DisKovery

August is done and dusted, that means it’s time for our August Korean Indie DisKovery. Summer break is over and kids have already started going back to school. It’s been one extremely hot summer, so I’m ready for autumn, all things pumpkin spiced and a plethora of scarves. For this feature though, let’s take a look back at our favorite releases.

Week 1

‘TOWN’ by minzunki is one groovy bop that should get more recognition. Dance all your troubles away with this fantastic single.

Spotify

Eunoo’s ‘Dive’ is dramatic and dreamy. It has a good beat to it and Eunoo’s soft vocals. It’s awesome.

Spotify

We Are the Night came back with the EP ‘Fly, Avoid, Love the Future’.

Spotify

Week 2

Theatre8 released ‘Golden Age of HongKong Movies’. The full album ‘About World’ is some delightful old school fun.

Spotify

Miru Song came out with the bop ‘Inside’.

Spotify

Kwon Wol has blessed the world with his new EP ‘At Silversand Beach (summer)’.

Spotify

Week 3

Kwon So Jeong dropped the beautiful single ‘Forest’.

Spotify

Western Kite came out with the single ‘I LOVE YOU’. I absolutely adore this comeback.

Spotify

Spotify

Week 4

Haze Moon came out with the beautiful ballad ‘34’.

Spotify

Out of Blue dropped the wonderful, ethereal ‘Liebes Kamille’.

Spotify
