Welcome back to another edition of our weekly K-Pop Singles Round-Up! This week brings exciting debuts, highly anticipated comebacks, and a few unexpected surprises. Let’s dive right in and check them out!
The week kicked off with U-KNOW returning with the single album ‘Time’s Tickin”. As expected, the title track is packed with adrenaline, delivering powerful beats and a smooth tempo that’s bursting with energy.
Next up, 8TURN released the single album ‘[8.X]’. The title track, ‘Stagefright’, leans into smooth pop and EDM influences, creating a charismatic anthem with a refreshing arrangement that’s impossible not to enjoy. It’s easily one of our favorite comebacks from the group.
OUR BIRTHDAY, JYP Entertainment’s newest girl group, unveiled their pre-debut digital single ‘HUNGRY (Side A)’. Featuring three of the seven members set to debut, Cho Hyejin, Baby, and Achiara, the song is an infectious bop filled with catchy melodies and a laid-back energy that makes it even more addictive.
SEVENTEEN’s Dino also made a memorable return, releasing his first single album under the alter ego ‘Picheolin’. Embracing a full-on trot concept with ‘Mi-cheo Mi-cheo’, the release was completely unexpected, but Dino pulls it off with charismatic vocals, playful energy, and an irresistibly catchy melody.
ONE PACT returned with the single album ‘TUNED IN’. Its title track, ‘U so hot’, is the perfect summer anthem, pairing chilled-out vibes with refreshing production that allows the group’s vocals and rapping flow to shine.
J.Y. Park also made his comeback with the new single ‘WET’. As expected, he delivers something unexpected, blending Latin-inspired rhythms with an irresistibly catchy hook that makes for an entertaining listen.
ARTMS released the single ‘Born Stunner’, once again proving why they’re one of K-pop’s most exciting acts. The group’s effortlessly cool experimental sound, combined with incredible production and inventive arrangements, makes this another standout release.
Closing out the week, JENNIE unveiled the single ‘Less than a Lover’. This soft summer pop track highlights her beautiful vocals while delivering the effortlessly cool charm that has become her signature.
