One of our favorite Korean bands, ONEWE just released their first full album ‘ONE’. We’ve been hyping ONEWE up since their debut so of course we would write the album review! Let’s dive in!
ONE
The opening track is ‘Crazy Good’. It starts up with a high tempo and when the electric guitar comes in, I was already sold. There’s a sudden shift in tempo with the first verse, making the song very dynamic. As the title promised, the song is crazy good! The instrumental section is FIRE!
Next up is the title track ‘End of Spring’ that came accompanied with a new music video. It’s softer than ‘Crazy Good’ and also a party track at the same time? It definitely left me wanting more. Also peep the AleXa cameo in the MV.
After that we get ‘Feeling Good – 2019 Version’. This track was on their previous EP ‘2/4’ that was released last year. It’s a soft bop that leaves you with a happy feeling.
Next up is ‘Love me’. This is also from their ‘2/4’ EP. It’s one of my favorite tracks by them because of its softness and the great vocals. Everything’s in perfect balance and it’s also catchy as hell.
Their song ‘Q’ featuring Hwasa is next. We wrote about this release here.
‘Regulus’ follows that, another song from their EP ‘2/4’. This video is still beautiful to look at and has all the angst you want.
‘IF’ is a new track that hasn’t been released before. Top tier vocals as always and I really like the slow vibe with the guitar solo. The drums in this are fantastic and I’ll be vibin’ to this for a really long time.
‘0&4’, ‘Ring on my Ears’ and ‘Reminisce About All’ all come from their debut EP. You can find the videos below. These three songs made me fall in love with them and their music, so definitely go check them out if you haven’t yet.
The last two tracks on ‘ONE’ are the remix version of ‘Ring on my Ears’ and the Rock version of ‘End of Spring’. Make sure to listen to the Rock version of ‘End of Spring’ because it is DOPE.
Overall
‘ONE’ by ONEWE is a great collection of their work. On the one hand I can’t help but be a bit disappointed that we only really got three new songs (not counting the remixes) but on the other hand it is a great display for new fans to be able to discover their music.
Go listen to the album on Spotify.
