The boys from CORTIS are officially debuting with their first ever mini-album ‘COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES’. We’re super stoked, as their pre-releases have all been insane. The members are Martin, James, Joo Hoon, Sung Hyun and Gun Ho. They’re heavily involved in the creative process as well as the writing and producing of the music.
COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES
We start the EP with the pre-releases ‘GO’ and ‘What you want’.
Next up comes the track ‘FaSHioN’. This is a hip-hop track with a trap beat. It declares “that they will follow Cortis’ own compass, not the established order, in both music and fashion.” Honestly, it’s a vibe.
‘JoyRide’ is a softer song with an alternative rock meets pop blend. CORTIS is taking us on a joyride with the windows open and the wind blowing in our hair. It’s a track with a lovely melody and a nice progression.
After that comes ‘Lullaby’ with fantastic guitar sections. The song has a lot of soul and is honestly pretty amazing. The whistle and the chanting sections were fantastic.
The closing track is the pre-released ‘What you want’ featuring Teezo Touchdown.
