[Review] Moon Byul – Laundri

Our girl Moon Byul is back with her latest solo EP ‘Laundri’. We’re super curious to see what she’s dropping, so let’s take a closer look!

Laundri

We start off with ‘Cotton’ which is a soft, laid-back pop track. I enjoyed the gentle melody and the organic switch between the rap verses and the lyrical parts.

After that comes the title track ‘Goodbyes and Sad Eyes’. We’re reclaiming our own power with this one. This is an interesting mix between soft verses and a powerful chorus. Moon Byul delivers on both.

‘Da Capo’ is a fun pop track about miscommunication in a relationship with great synths in the instrumentation and an overall lovely progression. The vocals in the bridge were fantastic and even a little bit jazzy.

Next up is ‘Chocolate Tea’. Moon Byul is a vocal queen in this one, wow! It’s a really lovely track with a soft pop ballad vibe.

‘DRIP’ has a really cool vibe and has a bunch of power in the instrumentation. We’re going for a more synth pop moment with a sensual touch.

After that comes ‘Over You’. This is a rock ballad with some great guitars in the backing track and beautiful storytelling.

‘ICY BBY’ was pre-released a couple months ago.

The closing track is ‘Take-off’. This is all about being comforting and finding comfort in each other. It’s wholesome and sweet.
