[Review] ICHILLIN’ – Prequel

The girlies from ICHILLIN’ are back with the single album ‘Prequel’. Let’s take a closer look at this comeback!

Prequel

We start off with ‘Intro’. This is such a trippy track. It blends a orchestral instrumental with hyper pop and though it is a short track, it definitely leaves an impact. JACKIE participated in writing the lyrics and composing the song, and JOONIE participated in writing the lyrics and singing the song.

Next up is the title track ‘Official’. This is such a dope House track. It feels trendy and fresh and the synth is killer. I’m really loving the chorus with it’s slowed down vocal and choreo.

After that we get ‘Miami’. This “makes you feel a strange mixture of longing, sorrow, and regret with an exciting beat”, according to the album description. I like the layering of the instrumentals. It’s a fun listen and the bridge where they take out most of the instrumentals is super cute.

The closing track is the Extended instrumental version of ‘Official’.
