Music Roadtrip around East-Asia

K-pop is big at the moment, like world-wide big. There are fans all across the globe who will look up content of groups like BTS, Monsta X, Blackpink, Red Velvet and many, many more. However, there’s a whole continent of untapped musical potential. That’s why we figured we’d travel around Asia to share some of our favorite music per country. Because let’s be honest, if you like K-pop you’re probably open to music in languages you don’t understand.

For now we’re sticking to a music roadtrip around East-Asia, as Asia is a huge continent and we want to share as many artists as we can. That’s why we’ll do this in multiple parts.

Let’s dive in!

Sabrina Lo has an amazing voice and I can’t tell you how obsessed I’ve been with this song. I think if you like Taeyeon, then you’ll no doubt like Sabrina as well.

This Chinese-Japanese singer has a wonderful voice and even acted in the drama ‘No. 1 for you’.

MONGOLIA

The Hu

This band is epic for so many reasons. Their song ‘Yuve Yuve Yu’ was the first one I discovered and I couldn’t not share it with you. Make sure to turn on your captions! Also if you listen to this with your good headphones, it hits even better.

Enguun

She was part of ‘The Voice Mongolia’. If you need some powerful vocals, check Enguun out.

Of course Korea falls under the East-Asia category as well. Since we’ve dedicated an entire website to the topic, I figured you could just browse our site to discover new artists.

That’s it for the first part of our series of Music Roadtrip Around East-Asia. I hope I’ve introduced some new artists in your life, with plenty of new bops. I’m always up for a round of music appreciation, especially when the music is out of your own realm of influence. Tell us if we missed your favorite artist in the comments!
