After only three months since their last release CIX is back with a new mini-album. ‘‘HELLO’ Chapter Ø. Hello, Strange Dream‘ is the title for this release and it brings five new tracks and a lot of expectations.

‘HELLO’ Chapter Ø. Hello, Strange Dream
‘Stairway To Heaven‘ starts off this EP with dreamy and very strong vocals. This almost acoustic track is a blessing for listeners, and shows the powerful vocals of this group, the orchestration is breathtaking and it is absolutely beautiful from start to end. An absolute gem in CIX discography.
The title track ‘Cinema‘ comes next and I LOVE the soft concept they went for with this song. For the first time since their debut that CIX title track is soft, cute, very pop and lighthearted. On top of this we get BX’s singing and I am in for this type of music.
This definitely was an unexpected title track but it is very much enjoyable. The music video as expected is as soft as the song, with stunning visuals, colourful sets, and the guys kiling it with their performance and visuals.
Lo-fi beats take over in ‘Round 2‘ and make this song an easy and very smooth listen. This track has an R&B vibe that I totally dig with sweet vocals and some fantastic layering and composition, the bridge is rather unconventional but I am in love with the vibe of this track.
Electric guitar riff starts ‘Young‘, and this song has the potential to become a youth anthem. It’s pop-rock feel makes it extra powerful along with its passionate lyrical delivery and killer rapping.
‘Everything‘ marks the end for this release with a strong pop/EDM mix, the falsettos in this song are smooth and overall this song is a fantastic end for a well-rounded mini-album.
Final Thoughts
Since CIX debuted they have gone for strong and memorable concepts, however, with this release they surprise us with a softer but killer sound and visuals that adds even more variety to their discography.
