The girls from VIVIZ are back with their new mini-album ‘Summer Vibe’. I’m really expecting some bops for the summer, so let’s dive right in!
Summer Vibe
We start off with the track ‘LOVEADE‘. This retro funk track is a total summer moment. It’s such a nice listen and fits the girls so much. It’s a lovely listen and is an excellent soundtrack to your summer.
The music video is adorable and the girls look insanely pretty.
The following track is ‘SIESTA’. This pop dance track has a twinge of nostalgia to it with the 90s synths. I really enjoyed Umji’s vocals in this one.
‘PARTY POP’ is up next. We’re going partying in this one. This is such a fun track that shows they found their balance as a trio. It’s a lovely mixture of their vocals and has such a colorful tone to it. I like this one a lot.
‘Love Love Love’ is a Deep House track that feels a lot more contemporary than the others, though there is still a retro synth in the instrumentals.
The next track is probably my favorite one of the full mini. ‘#FLASHBACK’ is a retro R&B track that has some really cool synths in the back. The register is all a bit lower than the previous tracks with the low synths and bass. It makes for a fun duality between the rest of the album.
The closing track is ‘DANCE’. This line in the album description: “depicting lovers dancing while leaning against each other in a dark room like an empty stage” paints such a pretty picture. The ballad is stunning and I expected nothing else from a VIVIZ ballad.
‘Summer Vibe’ is a really fun mini by VIVIZ. I’ll be happily using this to start my vacation!
