S.Coups and Mingyu from SEVENTEEN teamed up for the mini-album ‘Hype Vibes’. I’m super stoked and ready to party! Let’s go!
Hype Vibes
We start off with ‘Fiesta’. This is a hip-hop based song with a lot of charisma and is a perfect opener for this album. I enjoyed the flute in the instrumentals and the sound of the camera flash.
Next up is the title track ‘5,4,3 Pretty Woman’ featuring Lay Banks. This uses the hook of Roy Orbison’s ‘Oh, Pretty Woman’ which is such a superb match. This track is fun, groovy and confident.
Lay Banks’ feature was super dope! I love her.
‘Worth it’ is a hip-hop track with a cool 808 bass. It’s a fuun track with an effortless flow to it.
‘For you’ is a track where they declare that anyone can be their homie. “It expresses an open lifestyle that is open to everyone without prejudice.” It’s giving actual golden retriever energy and it’s adorable.
After that comes ‘Young Again’. We’re going for a rock sound with this one and they declare to enjoy every moment as they’ll never be this young again.
The closing track is ‘Earth’. This is an EDM one with the message of “I feel alive when I’m with you, and I get the strength to move forward.” The chorus is dope as hell!
