Just a few weeks ago AB6IX’s Park Woo-Jin showed us a sneak peak of his first solo album ‘oWn‘ with the single ‘Self Portrait’, this time he finally dropped him solo debut mini-album including impressive features that I am sure will surprise more than one person.
Let’s get right into the music.
oWn
Opening up the EP the single ‘Gotta Go’ featuring none other than Hip-Hop legend Verbal Jint plays, as expected this single goes off with impressive bars, a sick flow and a very minimal but killer beat. The speed and flow is amazing and very impressive.
The title track ‘Top Tier‘ follows up next, as the opening single Woo-Jin really goes off but this time he adds on top his singing vocals to create a TOP song. This single it is a vibe and is super catchy, the mix of beats will have you playing this song on repeat, definitely an amazing listen.
To elevate this single, the music video plays off with a very cool concept that mix angst with arcade games. Woo-Jin gives off some bad-ass boss vibes in this music video, his style, the choreography and full style of this production is effortlessly vibey. Watch it below.
Featuring the R&B singer Jiselle, ‘Feeling Good‘ takes over with lovely beats, groove and charming jazzy instrumentation. This single brings a rather unexpected turn to this very Hip-Hop driven release, but it is a nice break that solidifies the sound of this EP.
‘Dive‘ moves along this mini-album with alternative hip-hop beats and enhanced vocals. The little instrumental breaks added along this track were very cool touches, and the electric guitar outro absolutely amazing. The closing song for this release is ‘Self-Portrait’ featuring Kim Jae Hwan, pre-release a while ago, we already wrote about this singe, you can read our review here.
Park Woo-Jin solo career started on a very high note, the mix of sound and style in this single is absolutely fantastic, make sure to check it out here.
