[Review] NCT WISH Shines in 3rd Mini-Album ‘COLOR’ with Youthful and Fresh Sounds

NCT WISH are back with new music in their third mini-album ‘COLOR’, marking their second comeback this year. Let’s dive in and check out the music they’ve prepared for us this time.

COLOR

The title track ‘COLOR’ opens this release on an electro-pop note with bright synth instrumentals, a jazzy touch, and retro-inspired vibes. This song is very NCT WISH, youthful, vibrant, and filled with outstanding vocal performances.

‘Baby Blue’ follows with a soft blend of R&B and pop, bringing a dreamy and refreshing feel that feels new for the group. Its gentle tone makes it an instant standout.

With funky rhythms, ‘Surf’ comes next. The instrumental arrangement is absolutely charming, and the progression into the hook feels magical. The harmonies in the chorus are powerful, satisfying, and a true showstopper moment.

In ‘Cheat Code’, the group gets more experimental, incorporating glitchy sounds and playful textures. Much like its predecessor, it’s rich with energizing harmonies and strong vocals that keep listeners hooked.

We then move into hip-hop territory with ‘Videohood’, a vibey and trendy track showcasing rhythmic rap flows and hype-driven harmonies. It’s cool, stylish, and effortlessly fun.

Next up is ‘WICHU’, carrying early 2000s R&B inspiration. This track goes off with powerful vocals and layered harmonies, delivering a single packed with emotions and sincerity.

Closing the album is ‘Reel-ationship’, a sweet and cozy track filled with warmth. Its soft yet strong singing makes it the perfect heartfelt ending to this mini-album.

NCT WISH’s ‘COLOR’ is a collection of fresh, dynamic tunes that highlight their vocal power and versatility. A refreshing comeback that once again proves their growing artistry. You can listen to the release here.
