[Review] Jimin – MUSE

Jimin is back with his latest solo album ‘MUSE’. Let’s take a closer look!

MUSE

We start with ‘Rebirth: intro’. We’re going for a gospel like track with a dash of R&B. I enjoyed this line from the album description about the beating heart sound: “The sound of a beating pulse heard at the beginning symbolizes the excitement of falling in love and the thrill of a new beginning.”

‘Interlude : Showtime’ is an instrumental track and the prelude to ‘Smeraldo Garden Marching Band’ featuring Loco which was pre-released. We wrote about it here.

After that comes the track ‘Slow Dance’ featuring Sofia Carson. This is a mid-tempo R&B track that has a nice groove to it. I enjoyed the combination of Sofia’s and Jimin’s vocals. What a lovely track!

We’re going sensual with Latin style guitars and Afrobeats in ‘Be Mine’. I’m loving the instrumentation here as it creates a really cool vibe that will have you shimmy along in no time. Jimin’s vocals are great and add to the ambience.

Next up is the title track ‘Who’. We’re going for a hip-hop R&B blend with killer vocals and a really dope piano riff that jumps in and a really rhythmic guitar that adds depth. This is a really cool title track.

The 80s vibe of the music video is awesome!

Closing off we have ‘Closer than this’ which was also pre-released.
