[Review] ITZY – TUNNEL VISION

Our favorite girls ITZY are back with the mini-album ‘TUNNEL VISION’. We’re super stoked, so let’s take a closer look!

TUNNEL VISION

We start off with the track ‘Focus’. It’s an intro track that “expresses the emotions of a moment when you shake off fear and anxiety and boldly jump into a new goal.”

After that comes the title track ‘TUNNEL VISION’. Brass meets hip-hop and killer vocals. It’s super catchy and I liked it a lot! It’s dope.

The music video is kind of amazing. It was directed by Yoon Seung-rim of Legend Film. It’s very editorial!

‘DYT’ is up next and delivers some delightful synth pop with an electro twist. I’m loving the beat in the chorus and it’s just so catchy. The post-chorus is crazy but I’m here for it.

‘Flicker’ is a UK garage track with a sick beat and a cute and fresh energy. It talks about a “confidence that grows even in a dim and uncertain situation.” I really enjoyed the vocal melody in the chorus.

We’re going R&B with ‘Nocturne’. This is a really cool moment and the vocals are amazing. I loved the layering of the full track and the little vocal slides are just total earcandy.

The last track is ‘8-BIT HEART’. This is an electro hyper-pop track and it’s super dope. The “I’m offended” part is going to be a vocal stim for a while.
