CIX is finally back with ‘HELLO Chapter 3: Hello, Strange Time’, I have been checking out their releases since their debut and these guys are just incredible and never disappoint with their music and the aesthetics of their music videos.
This mini-album is the third part of their series ‘HELLO’, and so far I am loving every single story narrated in this era. Let’s dive into the music.
HELLO Chapter 3: Hello, Strange Time
‘Move My Body’ starts off this release leaving a very strong impression just with the intro. It is EDM driven with synth, it goes more to the hip-hop side with some really cool verse delivery, I really liked the almost-robotic vocals for the chorus and how a few parts of the lyrics were kinda whispery.
The title track ‘Jungle’ is next and this track was owned by the vocal line of CIX, the piano instrumentation was flawless and I loved the harmonization of the members. The beat drop for the chorus was very satisfying and the mix of electronic beats was just super cool. A very interesting and memorable title track.
The music video aesthetics are out of this planet, check it down below.
Next on the track list is ‘Change Me’, this song flows on the pop side with a very cool electronic music inclusion. It is overall a very cool tune, I would have loved listening more to the rap line in this track, their part felt a bit too short and had me wanting more of it.
Chill vibe tunes and fantastic vocals start ‘Switch It Up’, this song feels like a summer release. It is refreshing, laid back and I loved the rapping in it, it was just fire!
‘Rebel’ closes this release with a synth driven track and really cool layering. I loved the bridge, BX really killed it with the delivery of the verses. Overall, this song is a clean and a very cool ending for this mini album.
