ATEEZ is back to shock the world with ‘THE WORLD EP.FIN : WILL’. Let’s take a closer look!
THE WORLD EP.FIN : WILL
We open up with ‘WE KNOW’. This is a super cool track with a lot of electronic elements. It’s a total vibe and I love the build-up of tension. The whisper ‘coming after you’ gave me actual chills. It’s an actual banger.
After that comes ‘Emergency’. The bass is insane and I can just imagine listening to this in the car with the bass going wild. This track will get you hyped up! Also the bridge is actually wild. Vocals!
Next up is the title track ‘Crazy Form’. This brings the intensity, the vocals and the fire rap verses that we all love and expect from ATEEZ. I love the references to the ‘TREASURE’ world. The beat is super sick and makes you want to party.
‘ARRIBA’ takes us to exotic horizons. The beat and drums are very Latin based and there are some interesting things happening in Mingi’s rap verse. The staccato delivery is cool.
‘Silver Light’ brings us some dreamy synths in a cyberpunk world. “The silver light shines brightly through the darkness”, according to the album description. I like this track a lot, it’s a completely immersive experience and I honestly am kind of obsessed.
Next up is ‘Crescent Part 2’ which is an interlude. It clocks in just under a minute and is a cinematic moment with orchestra and birds in the background. This is absolutely beautiful.
‘Dreamy Day’ is such a soft track. I love the plucky violins in the instrumentation. The whoops in the rap verse had me laugh a bit because it was quite a switch-up. It’s a fun listen and I’d honestly be intrigued to hear a more acoustic version of this.
Next up is the first sub-unit track ‘MATZ’ by Hongjoong and Seonghwa. This one goes hard! It’s a cool hip hop based track with a lot of charisma and power.
The next sub-unit track is ‘It’s You’ by Yeosang, San, and Wooyoung. We’re going for a blend of sexy pop and R&B. It’s a pretty sick combo, I dig it a lot. I also enjoyed the retro synths in the backing track.
After that comes ‘Youth’. It’s a suave alt pop track that was composed by Mingi and Younho. It’s a smooth listen and I enjoyed the layering of all the instrumentals. The vocal combination is also super nice.
‘Everything’ is a Jongho solo track. This ballad is just absolutely stunning and Jongho really knows he’s a vocal king so it shouldn’t be a surprise that this is a delight.
The closing track is ‘FIN : WILL’. I love the spacious soundscape and the dreamy layering. The narration is beautiful and this feels very lovingly crafted.
