AB6IX is back with their second album, ‘MO’ COMPLETE‘, earlier this year they started this series with the EP ‘MO’ COMPLETE: HAVE A DREAM‘, and this release is the culmination of this era.
The members have writing and producing credits for this album, and we are really intrigued to see how this fantastic era will end. Let’s get right into the music.
MO’ COMPLETE
Heavy beats and synths kick off this release in ‘SHOWDOWN‘. This single has a marvelous vocal play and the members flawlessly shift and change between tones. Even though this single has a bit more of a hip-hop feel, it is unexpectedly very vocal heavy with the rapping added to create the perfect mix.
Funky beats come along in ‘LEVEL UP‘ and this track is a total novelty in AB6IX discography. This single would have been a very interesting title track. It is playful, super fun, and it brings out a new musical side in AB6IX.
The title song ‘CHERRY‘ follows up with a more retro-inspired sound and A LOT of style, this song is a strong contestant to become my favourite title track by them. The vocals and rapping are fantastic and this full single is pure serotonin.
As the song the music video will not fail to put a smile in your face with its cuteness, mixed with perfect aesthetics, visuals and a very funky choreography. Check it below.
With a latin-pop sound we get ‘DOWN FOR YOU‘, this single is kinda sexy and the members really go in to deliver a bit of a sensual feel to the lyrics and I’m here for it. I LOVED what they did with this single, and once again they went off with a sound and style they hadn’t done before, and killed it.
Next up
‘DO YOU REMEMBER‘ is next and with this single we go into a more known style in AB6IX discography. Nevertheless, this song is absolutely stunning, the vocals are breathtaking and the rap delivery is powerful and emotional.
EDM takes over in ‘STAY WITH ME‘ and this synth-pop track goes into a more heart-felt style that will have you grooving while taking in the feels. Pure emotional whiplash!
The absolute bop ‘BELIEVE‘ is next with a summer release vibe, some fantastic harmonizations and an even cooler rapping. ‘OFF THE RECORD‘ comes along next with an interesting mix of EDM and R&B, and power vocals in its bridge.
‘SIMPLE LOVER‘ takes over with deep house beats that had me grooving to it from start to ends. Last, we get the single ‘3″‘ closing off this release with intensely beautiful singing, and an immaculate sound. The perfect end for a solid album.
