We’re back with our recap of episode 5 of ‘Queendom 2’. This time the girls are leaving the stuffy studio and they’re going on a trip together!
The theme of the third round is a double one. The first part is the ‘Position Unit Battle’ where they have to send members to a vocal team and a dance team. Each unit can win 2500 points.
The second theme is ‘Fantastic Queendom’ which will be based on songs suggested by fans. This theme can get the members to win a whopping 15 000 points.
The Queen Manager opens a chatroom with all the members. It’s hectic and hilarious with all of the members chiming in at once.
We get to see footage of the groups deciding among themselves who they would like to send to which unit.
In the end the vocal unit consists out of Eunha (VIVIZ), Young Eun and Chae Hyun from Kep1er, Miyeon from Brave Girls, Haseul, Chuu, JinSoul and Kim Lip from LOONA, Yeonjung and Soobin from WJSN and Hyolyn.
The dance unit consists of SinB and Umji from VIVIZ, Eunji from Brave Girls, Olivia Hye, Yves, Heejin and Choerry from LOONA, Yeoreum and Eunseo from WJSN, Xiaoting, Hikaru, and Dayeon from Kep1er and Hyolyn again.
Hyolyn gets to perform in both units as she’s the only soloist.
Each unit has to split up into smaller groups to compete against each other.
Dance Unit
For the choreography Queendom provided 3 songs they have to choose from. There’s ‘Ka-Boom’, ‘Greedy’ and ‘Purr’. They all have a distinctly different vibe.
The way they can choose their favorite choreo is quite interesting and a bit cruel. The lowest ones get to choose first, but if a higher ranked group wants that one, they can push them out.
LOONA gets to pick first. Their first choice was ‘Purr’.
Eunji from Brave Girls went for ‘Greedy’ as she thought that it would be the least popular one and she really didn’t want to be pushed out.
The girls from LOONA really wanted to dance with Kep1er. The girls listened to their love confessions and went for ‘Purr’ as well. Unfortunately the SinB and Umji wanted ‘Purr’ as well, so LOONA was pushed out.
They moved to the ‘Ka-Boom’ team. WJSN chose ‘Ka-Boom’ as well. Hyolyn chose this one as well, so that meant the LOONA members had to move again. They ended up joining Eunji who picked ‘Greedy’.
Vocal Unit
The vocal unit gets ready and for this round the teams are going to be paired at random. They were given three room options and the one they chose would be the team they were part of.
LOONA’s vocal line chose room A, and they were joined by Kep1er. VIVIZ’ Eunha went for room B and was joined by WJSN; Brave Girls’ Mijeon ended in room C and was followed by Hyolyn.
Group A, B and C, chose the group names starting with ‘Sun and Moon’, ‘Milky Way Who Embraced the Universe’ and ‘33’, respectively.
Everyone got together for dinner, after enjoying yummy food and leaving plenty of cute moments we went right into the mid evaluation stages.
For this preliminary round room A took the stage with ‘Across The Universe’ originally sung by Yerin Baek; group B sang ‘Don’t Go’ by EXO; and finally group C performed ‘To My Youth’ by BOL4.
All the members were then asked to say which team they were booking forward to listen to the most. But we will be getting the results next week.
To add even more to the surprises the members from the dance units were surprised with mentors from the hit show ‘Street Woman Fighter’, and we will be getting more of these interactions and a lot of dance practice for the next episode.
