We’re back with a new Ode To The Artist and this time we’re taking a look at the impressive career of the indie duo No Reply.
No Reply has two members: Tune (Jeong Wook-Jae) on the guitar and Moment (Kwon Soon-Gwan) on the piano and as the vocal. They debuted after placing second in the ‘Yoo Jae Ha Music Scholarship’ competition in 2008.
Their first release was the single album ‘The Day To Propose’.
‘Road’ was their first album release and came out in 2009.
Their second album ‘Dream’ in 2010 was received with critical acclaim. They even popped back up in the May 2025 Korean Indie Chart.
In 2011 they announced a brief pause for their military enlistment with the EP ‘comma’. This is personally one of my highlights, it gives me Nick Drake vibes and I adore his music.
It wasn’t until 2017 that they released another full-length album. ‘Beautiful’ contains 13 tracks with ‘on the way home’ as the title track.
Their most recent comeback was the EP ‘There was love’.
