My journey in K-pop started with Big Bang so I basically love every single music video they have released. For this week’s MV recommendation I chose ‘Wake Me Up’ which is part of Taeyang’s solo EP released just before he enlisted because the full video is a piece of visual ART.
Throughout the full music video you can see Taeyang being the incredibly talented artist he is. The concept and background for every single second in this MV was well thought out and its aesthetics are on point. It was directed by none other than DPR’s Christian Yu. Taeyang looked incredible in all of the shoots. I was particularly astonished by the lighting used in some of the shots, and the scene in which he is covered in glitter is absolutely stunning.
