?Maestra: Strings of Truth?
TV series <Maestra: Strings of Truth>, was aired on tvN from December 9, 2023 to January 14, 2024. Lee Young-ae, well known for appearing on <Jewel in the Palace (Dae Jang Geum)>, took the main role of Cha Se-Eum, the new female conductor of The Hangang Philharmonic Orchestra.
<Maestra> depicts the life of an orchestra, with strong hierarchy and where dark desire blossoms during consistant competition and harmony at the same time. Conductor ‘Cha Se-eum’ comes back to Korea in 20 years to join ‘The Hangang Philharmonic,’ while hiding something. She meets her husband ‘Kim Phil’ in 3 years and also ‘Jung-jae’, the old flame…!

Since<Maestra> is a musical drama, the master of film scores, Cho Sung Woo has participated as a music director. The OST includes beautiful orchestral music played by Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra(RSO) and conducted by Han Ju-heon, the permanent conductor of Linz State Theater.
The world’s best soprano Sumi Jo has participated in the OST with ‘My Day’ – the ending theme – and you can check the orchestra version as well. Jea (from Brown Eyed Girls) sung ‘I Have Died’ with her powerful voice. ALi‘s ‘Luminous Conatus’ is the lyrical version of the orchestral track ‘Maestra,’ composed by Cho sung Woo.
