Today’s feature for K-Music Time Capsule is probably the first Korean pop group I watched. I remember watching this video in a Samsung store in the city where I come from. Back then I didn’t know who they were, or what type of music it was. One thing I knew for sure though was that I wanted to find that group and have their music on repeat. Today we are talking about the legends: Girls’ Generation.
They debuted in 2007 with the song ‘Into The New World’, and this pop-ballad is one of my favourite songs by them.
Having all the incredible vocalists that this group has harmonizing in the chorus singing “사랑해 널 이 느낌 이대로 (saranghae neol i neukkim idaero), 그려 왔던 헤매임의 끝 (geuryeo watteon hemaeime kkeut)”, is something that I am sure many kpop fans from the first generations will remember candidly. And I have to say that this song also set the path for this group to become the legends that they are today.
